Guernsey Velo

It was three years ago that Ann Bowditch suggested that I look into what it would take to get a club website up and running. Well, it didn't take much sorting out (and it was a LOT easier than training) so up and running it soon was. Three years is a long time and it's about time someone came along and gave it a re-vamp. That someone has arrived in the form of Josh Gosselin. On Friday, I will go off on my hols, and Josh will don the Shiny Black Cape of the GVC Webmaster. (actually, there is no cape, but please don't tell him as that was the big selling point for this job).

So, I hope it's been useful so far, and thanks for not lynching me every time I got the dates wrong...

KPMG SPONSORSHIP FOR UNDER 23s

KPMG has pledged to continue its support of The Guernsey Velo Club for 2006. At their request, funds will be used to subsidise travel for riders under the age of 23 to compete off Island, provided they are competing for the club. It does not matter what standard of rider you are. In fact we are keen that riders who do not already have personal sponsorship or are not on the Guernsey Sports Commission B3 funding level benefit most.

If you have represented the Club when racing away then please claim for funding. Download the form here. (MS Word format) All claims will be considered on their own merits - there is no set amount to be subsidised.

Please make use of this fantastic opportunity to race away and gain invaluable experience. GVC jerseys are available to borrow when racing away.
