Claire has never really cycled regularly until moving to Guernsey. Having a partner who loves the sport meant there was an added incentive to get involved. Claire is participating in the 30/30 challenge to raise money for a good cause and to train for a trip in July that follows the last week of the Tour de France. Claire will also celebrate another 30/30 - turning 30 years of age on 30th June.

I am a full time mother with three children. My husband is a doctor and has been involved with Les Bourgs Hospice since its formation. I enjoy cycling and a challenge, last year doing the London to Paris ride. I would like to raise money for Les Bourgs which is in dire need of our financial support and a very worthy cause. I am also looking forward to improving my fitness.

Tony moved to Guernsey last year from London, where he was a regular bike commuter and an occasional weekend rider.  Having moved to Guernsey based upon idyllic stories of his wife's childhood here, he is enjoying the cycling, the lifestyle and the community spirit.  Tony sees taking part in the 30 in 30 challenge as the perfect way to start getting involved in the community and doing something for a local cause.

After jumping on the bike to help rehabilitate his knee, injured while playing rugby, Barney fell in love with cycling....and lycra. The 30/30 challenge is the perfect opportunity to try to wear out his old bike so he can get a new one and to keep fit for his other lycra clad pursuit of rowing.

Alderney Harbour Master and General Pilot. Retired Alderney RNLI All Weather Lifeboat Coxswain. Keen Sailor and despite the limited size of Alderney a keen cyclist. For the first two weeks of the 30 in 30 Challenge I will be cycling from Bordeaux to the Mediterranean, but only collecting one hour a day from my sponsors.
