25 Mile Time Trial - 25 July 2010

Wet conditions meant for tricky conditions for many of the Guernsey Velo Cub competitors with many of them crashing. Despite the wet conditions times were very fast over the 25mile course. Aaron Bailey recorded the fastest time of the morning recording 55.52 followed by Tony Bleasdale in 56.32. Philip Touzeau took third place despite suffering a crash early on in the race recording 56.50. Veteran Ian Scholes took fourth place in 58.02 closely followed by Paul O’Reily 58.04, Rob Smart 58.23, Veteran Alan Rowe 59.48, Jon Greenfield was the final rider under the hour recording 59.51. Tim Holmes also crashed but recovered to take 9th place ahead of Stuart Wallbridge, Grand Veteran Gary Wallbridge.

Carol Anne Stapley finished as the first lady in 1.08.39 just ahead of Collette Andrews. Will Falla finished as the first Under 14 in 1.11.14. William McAvock (1.08.30) finished as the first League Of Gentlemen rider ahead of Dave English and Pete Robilliard.

The under 14 riders competed in a 5.5mile TT and it was Jack English who took the victory in a time of 16.46 ahead of Katie Rowe who finished in 18.52.
